When you visit such a nice and beautiful city, you need to stay here in Rostock for at least a few days. It’s always complicated to find the right place to sleep because there are lots of different accommodation options with lots of different prices and everywhere in Rostock. So I will look round for somewhere to stay the night for you. I want to focus on 3 different prices categories and locations, so there will be a bed for all budgets; I’ll mark their localities in a map below.
The first accommodation I want to show you is a really appropriate one for the younger generation who are traveling in a large group and want to spend their money on other things during their stay. An eight-bed room in the “Jellyfish Hostel Rostock” costs €14 per night; a four-bed room, €16 per night. The hostel is in the inner city of Rostock. It doesn’t matter what you want to do, you can reach clubs, restaurants, the movies and so forth.
Another place to sleep centrally is the “Motel One” in Rostock; it’s also in the inner city of Rostock. They also provide their homepage in English and three other languages. A hotel room costs from €59; breakfast, €9.50. WLAN is free. It’s a very new and comfortable hotel, and you should know that you can sit at their hotel bar and drink a freshly shaken cocktail or a Scotch after a long and busy day in the shopping area of Rostock.
The next place to sleep is a real classic; the standard and basic youth hostel of the DJH (Youth Hostels in Germany) in Warnemünde; DJH is the official partner of “Youth Hostel International”. They offer lots of hostels all around the globe; they supply their websites in English, and offers constant and good quality on the cheap. A bunch of other people and me are always satisfied after an overnight stay in a DJH-hostel. It costs €25 to stay the night with a sufficient and versatile breakfast in the morning. What is amazing about this location is that you have the fantastic beach right on your doorstep, and it’s very child-friendly. Spending the day around the beach at Warnemünde can be a great day of rest. That sounds great, doesn’t it? To reach the inner city of Rostock you just have to take the S-Bahn to the central station.
I really hope that I present you an adequate solution for spending some more days in Rostock. The friendly staff in the hostels/hotels will provide you with important information on what different things you can do in and around Rostock. Otherwise, just read my further blogs about transportation, places to eat, the movies, and sport events in Rostock.
